FITNESSGRAM is the national fitness assessment and reporting program for youth.  It replaces the Presidential fitness testing that was administered years ago.  The assessment includes various  health-related fitness tests used to measure cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Students at NES will perform curl ups(muscular endurance), push ups(muscular strength), back saver stretch(flexibilty), and the pacer(cardio).  The tests are administered twice a year, in the Fall and Spring of the school year.
 
      Parents try some of these tests with your children at home to challenge and motivate them :)
